Grace Smetter is May Fine Arts Student of the Month
SHS senior, Grace Smetter has been named the May Fine Arts Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Sam and Shelly Smetter of Seward.
Grace has been involved in the SHS Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Central Conference Honor Band.
She has been a member of the SHS Select Choir and SHS Swing Choir. Grace was involved in the SHS musicals for two years and a member of the SHS Quiz Bowl team.
She was the local representative for the Optimist Speech Contest and participated in the VFW Voice of Democracy Speech contest at Seward High, along with “Poetry Out Loud.” She is a leader in the SHS National Honor Society.
She has been involved in all types of dance since she was a toddler and now also assists with the dance program at Shelly’s School of Dance.
Grace plans to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and is undeclared for a major, however is interested in nutrition and culinary science.
